I will only share free or low-cost tools here to keep your finances in check.
Keyword Research Tool for SEO, Googleand Youtube:
Google Keyword Planner – Google’s own keyword tool, it shows relevant keyword groups with monthly average searches and CPC(relevant for you if you want to run ads), Overall Good tool to use
Jaaxy – It’s a low cost paid tool($19/month), Jaaxy offers free 30 searches initially for you to decide if you would like to use this tool or not, Apart from showing the volume of a particular keyword, it also shows whether it is a good or not in terms of ranking by giving it a red(hard to rank), yellow(will require good content and promotion) and green(east to rank) color. There are many other tools as well which show the same functionality but they are little expensive as compared to jaaxy.
Keywords Everywhere Chrome/Firefox Extension – It’s free and great tool, anything you search will be displayed with its monthly searches and all the relevant keywords which are shown at the bottom of the page are also displayed with volume along with CPC as you can see on the right side.
Ubersuggest.to – It provides keywords along with different combinations of letters from a-z. You can find lot of hidden keywords with the help of Ubersuggest
Keywordshitter.com – As the name says it shits keywords, similar to Ubersuggest in functionality, but it gives a lot more variations of keyword where you can find some hidden gems.
Now, for someone just starting out, I would recommend using Ubersuggest and keyword shitter along with keywords everywhere chrome/firefox extension for keyword research and as you grow your business, switch to Jaaxy to optimize your time, energy and effort.
You can use above tools for youtube as well, but there are many youtube specific tools which provide more functionality like competitor research, SEO score, tags, descriptions and title Ideas and I will share couple of them which I have used myself.
Keyword Research For Youtube
Tubebuddy – It’s a premium paid tool, but you can also utilize its free version with limited functionality, Free version is good for people who are just starting out, as you grow your business you can switch to paid versions
VidIQ – This is another youtube tool which I personally use. It breaks down all the details about any video and channel thoroughly which helps you to understand how people get more engagement on their videos. It also boosts your videos to help you get your videos ranked in youtube and Google.
